Hypothesis Fund Scouts are outstanding scientists who demonstrate intense curiosity, creative thinking, and an inclination to support the work of others.  They are diverse in scientific expertise, institution, geography, as well as gender and racial/cultural background. 

The Hypothesis Fund does not issue RFPs or other grant application processes. Instead, we entrust our accomplished Scouts to identify and recommend worthy seed-stage experiments for funding. Neither the Fund nor Scouts accept unsolicited pitches.

The Hypothesis Fund is generously supported by charitable contributions, including from Reid Hoffman’s foundation, Gates Ventures, Lyda Hill Philanthropies, and Psquared Charitable Foundation (Deven and Monika Parekh)
